Merrimack Hall, Arts & Entertainment Arts and Entertainment, Performing Arts Venue, 3320 Triana Blvd SW Huntsville AL 35805

Since opening in 2007, Merrimack Hall has brought a wide array of artists and entertainment to Huntsville, including: Billy Bob Thornton, Dionne Warwick, Menopause the Musical, Wade Robson, Tyce Diorio, Altar Boyz, Lee Meriwether, Chuck Leavell and many more.

Merrimack Hall was purchased by Alan and Debra Jenkins in May 2006, in a state of near-complete disrepair. Originally built in 1898, the building served as the social center for the thriving Merrimack Mill Village, providing a place for socialization and recreation to all of the village's residents. After nearly 100 years of operation, the Merrimack Mills were demolished in 1992. Today, 269 mill village houses and Merrimack Hall are all that remain of this important part of Huntsville's history.

Today, Merrimack Hall is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has given back well over $250,000 in outreach to the community of Huntsville, in the form of scholarships to classes, tickets to the underserved, and arts education for children and young adults with special needs.

Dance Your Dreams! is the cornerstone of Merrimack Hall's outreach, providing free weekly dance instruction, attire, and performance opportunities to children with emotional and physical needs. These children live with a variety of challenges including Cerebral Palsy, Down syndrome, cancer and more, all of which prevent them from participating in mainstream arts education.
